Custom Frame FAQs
Do you offer glass with your frames?
1
Frames do not include glass. We recommend 99% UV protected glass, which can be sourced from most local frame shops. By not shipping glass, this saves you money and the headache of a potential break during shipping!
What size glass do I need to buy?
2
Our frame sizes are listed by the inside glass dimensions, so that is the glass size you would need. For example, if you order a 16 × 20 frame, you would need to source glass that is 16” x 20”. Our frames will be slightly oversized to accommodate any discrepancies in glass sizes.
Why are your frames perfect for floral preservation?
3
As a floral preservation studio, we searched for a quality frame solution that worked for our business. After countless conversations with local woodworkers, we decided to start building these frames ourselves to be able to have the perfect solution. The depth is perfect for classic floral preservation frames, and our nailing strips help to get the double-paned glass look that we think, puts all the focus on the floral arrangement.
How do I close up the frame?
4
All frames require a 23 gauge pin nailer to close. We include space strips that secure the glass in place and give enough room for the pressed floral arrangement.
Currently we only sell frames, but do have Amazon affiliate links to our favorite tools, which you can see with this link: https://www.wildandwilted.com/flowerpressingsupplies. We do have some ideas in development, so stay tuned for new product releases!
